Terms and Conditions

2026.09.23

1. Introduction

These general terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) apply to the agreement (the “Agreement”) for parking services (the “Service”) entered into between Drifter World AB, corporate registration number 556982-8600 (“Drifter”), and the natural or legal person (the “Customer”) who is the registered owner or, alternatively, the user of a vehicle that enters and/or is parked in a parking facility or garage provided by Drifter (a “Parking Facility”). In these General Terms and Conditions, the registered owner of a vehicle has the same meaning as the owner of the vehicle under the Swedish Act (1984:318) on Control Fees for Unauthorised Parking.

2. About the Drifter Parking System

Drifter World has developed software through which the registration plate of the Customer’s vehicle is recorded by cameras when the vehicle is parked in a space and, where applicable, by cameras at the entrance to and exit from the Parking Facility.

All information is handled in accordance with the GDPR and Swedish law.

The company’s privacy policy is available on our website. The Customer therefore does not need a physical parking ticket to use the Service.

3. Formation and Termination of the Agreement

3.1 The Agreement between Drifter and the Customer for use of the Service is formed when the Customer, or someone using the Customer’s vehicle, enters a Parking Facility.

3.2 By entering a Parking Facility in the Customer’s vehicle, the Customer accepts these General Terms and Conditions. Acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions is a condition of using the Service. If the Customer does not accept these General Terms and Conditions, the Customer’s vehicle is parked in the Parking Facility in breach of the facility’s terms, and a dynamic rate applies.

3.3 After a recorded exit or the end of parking in a space, the Agreement terminates once the Customer has fulfilled all obligations under the Agreement.

4. Parking Fees

4.1 The Customer must pay Drifter a parking fee for use of the Service. Prices and fees for the Service are displayed in connection with the Parking Facility via the QR code on signs and in the Drifter app. All prices and fees include VAT.

4.2 The parking fee is calculated based on the period during which the Service is used, that is, the time between the system’s recording of the Customer’s vehicle entering and leaving the Parking Facility.

4.3 The parking fee may involve a dynamic rate that can vary between facilities and in the event of a breach of the terms.

4.4 All vehicles parked at our facilities that occupy their own parking space must be registered and paid for separately. This also applies to trailers and other towed vehicles, even when attached to a towing vehicle. Each registration number recorded by our cameras is treated as a separate vehicle and charged accordingly, regardless of whether the vehicles occupy one or more parking spaces.

5. Payment

5.1 The Customer may pay for the Service automatically or after parking using one of the following payment options. These payment options are displayed at each Parking Facility:

a) automatic payment through registration in the Drifter app

b) payment via a QR code on site

c) invoice.

5.2 If the Customer has chosen to register an account in the Drifter app, the Customer’s credit card is automatically charged on exit from the Parking Facility concerned, in accordance with the terms accepted by the Customer on registration, whereupon payment is made in accordance with clause 4.1(a) above.

5.3 If the QR code is not working, the Customer is responsible for ensuring that payment is made using another payment option.

5.4 If the Customer does not pay using payment option (a) or (b) under clause 4.1 above, Drifter will send an invoice by post to the Customer’s address in the population register or registered address.

An invoice fee will be added.

5.5 A service fee is added for payment under clause 4.1(a) (automatic payment via the Drifter app) or clause 4.1(b) (payment via QR code). By making the payment, the Customer accepts the applicable service fee.

5.6 Drifter is entitled to charge a fee for payment reminders and compensation for debt collection costs in accordance with applicable law. Interest on late payment is payable in accordance with the Swedish Interest Act (1975:635).

5.7 Payment option (c) under clause 4.1 above is available only to the registered owner of the vehicle. The Customer therefore cannot choose this payment option unless the Customer is the vehicle’s registered owner. If the Customer is not the vehicle’s registered owner, the Customer must pay using payment option (a) or (b) under clause 4.1 above.

6. Parking Permits

6.1 A parking permit is valid for one calendar month at a time and is automatically renewed for one (1) calendar month at a time unless the Agreement is terminated. The notice period is one (1) calendar month. Following notice of termination, the Agreement ends at the close of the following calendar month. For example, if notice is given at any time from 1 to 31 August, the Agreement ends on 30 September.

6.2 The parking permit fee is charged in advance for each contractual period. Payment is made by invoice. Drifter is entitled to charge an administration fee for payment by invoice.

6.3 The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the vehicle’s registration number is always correct and up to date in the Drifter app. The parking permit is valid only for the registered vehicle and at the selected facility.

6.4 A parking permit cannot be paused or frozen during an ongoing contractual period.

7. Limitation of Liability

7.1 Drifter is not liable for loss or damage suffered by the Customer unless Drifter caused it through an intentional act or gross negligence.

7.2 Drifter is not liable for loss or damage resulting from the Customer or another person parking a vehicle contrary to any law, regulation or signage.

7.3 Drifter’s liability is limited to direct loss or damage. Drifter is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage.

7.4 The account holder is responsible for ensuring that the information in Drifter’s records and agreements is correct.

7.5 The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the vehicle’s registration plate is visible and legible to Drifter’s reading system when entering and leaving and while the vehicle is parked in a parking space.

8. Parking Facility

The Customer undertakes to park in accordance with the instructions and signage applicable at the Parking Facility concerned at any given time. The Customer must familiarise themselves with and comply with all rules of conduct, signage and local regulations applicable at the Parking Facility concerned at any given time.

9. Force majeure

Drifter is exempt from consequences for failure to perform an obligation under the Agreement if Drifter’s performance is rendered impossible, substantially impeded or substantially more expensive by an epidemic, act of war, accident, labour dispute, fire, explosion, action by a public authority or another circumstance beyond Drifter’s control.

10. Changes to the Terms and Conditions

Drifter reserves the right to change these General Terms and Conditions at any time. The General Terms and Conditions in force at any given time are available on Drifter’s website, www.drifterworld.se.

11. Personal Data

11.1 Drifter processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable data protection legislation.

11.2 For more information about how personal data is collected and processed, see Drifter’s privacy policy.

12. Disputes and Applicable Law

12.1 Any dispute arising from the Agreement between Drifter and the Customer shall be settled by the ordinary courts. If the Customer is not a consumer, the Gothenburg District Court shall be the court of first instance.

12.2 Swedish law shall apply to the Agreement.
